On the home stretch until the holidays.
Our Innisfail and Atherton crew wrapped up the year with a beautiful celebration, and this photo says it all.

They are not just work colleagues. They are genuine friends. They stand by each other, support each other and make every day feel safe, fun and meaningful.

Creating a workplace where people love coming to work is something we are incredibly proud of at i’ara.

Here is to this incredible team and the village they have built together.

Proud moment for our team.

Three of our First Nations Support Coordinators, Shannon, Laura and Shaun, attended the NDIA First Nations Branch Roundtable. It was a powerful space where community members and providers came together to talk about how we can build more culturally safe and responsive services for First Nations participants.

Our team shared reflections and suggestions with the NDIA, helping shape future improvements for communities across Australia.

We are very proud of our staff for representing i’ara and for bringing their lived experience, cultural knowledge and community leadership to these important conversations.

This is what happens when someone is truly listened to.

Our client lives with Muscular Dystrophy and was given an NDIS plan that did not meet his basic needs. Living in Malanda with limited local services made things even harder.

Our Specialist Support Coordinator Leona worked closely with him and his family, taking the time to understand what he really needed.

This is the impact of genuine care and skilled Support Coordination.

Our i'ara team attended the final Cairns Disability Provider Network meeting for the year. This network is such a valuable space for local providers to connect and collaborate throughout the year.

A big thank you to ARC Disability Services for the time and effort they put into running these meetings. Their work is completely free to the community and so appreciated by all of us in Cairns.

Here is to another year of working together for our community. 💛

Our iara team attend

Our VIC Support Coordinator, Maggie, was out in full force today at the Ready, Set, Connect event hosted by the incredible team at One Community X Kismet

These events are honestly game changers for our sector. They bring together passionate local providers, spark new collaborations, and help us build the relationships that truly make a difference for our participants.

Maggie had the chance to connect with the wonderful team at GRP Speech Pathology , and it is these conversations, face to face, that help us connect NDIS participants with the right supports at the right time. Support Coordinators are the middle link in the chain, so events like this are an absolute must for staying connected and informed.

Kismet has just released their brand new list of Ready, Set, Connect events for 2026. Pop them in your diary now, because next year will be here before we know it: onecommunity.net.au/Ready-Set-Connect

Building strong villages starts with showing up. 🤝💛
