This week our Owner Maddi Wright and Regional Leaders, Laurie and Bec, had the privilege of attending the Village Sector Connector Event in Cairns. A room full of health, community and emergency services, all in the one place, all there for the same reason: the people in our community who need us most.
It gave us goosebumps to listen to passionate locals share the incredible programs they're running, and we were reminded all over again why we love this region so much. This is what community looks like when it shows up for each other.
We also took the chance to stand up and introduce i'ara to the room, and to share something we're really proud of: we run free in-service NDIS workshops for health, justice and community services.
If your team works with people who may intersect with the NDIS, we'd love to come and share what we know. No cost, no catch. The better equipped our whole sector is, the better the outcomes for the people we all support.

I'ara Specialist Support Coordination means 'Village' A village that doesn't just include our beautiful staff but families also.
These two beauties are Nat in Innisfails kiddies that wanted to teams our Regional Leader Leona to say thank you for the guinea pigs 🥰
We dont just support our interal village - we support the external also - even if that means a side quest on a Thursday night to Mareeba to pick up 2 Guinea Pigs and drop off in Cairns to make 2 little girlies super happy 🤣🤣🤣
So now we welcome Rex and Jinx to the Village also 🤦♀️
