  • Maddi -North Queensland
    Maddi -North Queensland

    Maddi is the Founder and Managing Director of i’ara and has been a senior consultant to Support Coordination and NDIS Housing Service Providers, for over 5 years. Maddi has built some of the largest Support Coordination networking groups in the country and developed the first-ever tenant matching technology for NDIS participants. She is the leading expert in specialist Disability Accomodation in North Queensland.

    Maddi’s philosophy for GREAT Support Coordination is centred around impeccable client service experience. Receiving an NDIS Plan is a complex journey; a journey that is incredibly personal – and requires a caring and genuine helping hand.

  • Rachel – Cairns & surrounds
    Rachel – Cairns & surrounds

    Rachel is i’ara 2ic and Senior Support Coordinator. Rach was raised in Far North Queensland and is passionate about the Cairns community. She has extensive project management, marketing, communications and community engagement experience.

    Rachel has a compassionate nature and creating a good rapport with clients comes naturally to her. She is highly focused and results oriented, so YOUR GOALS are her goals too. Rachel will work closely with you to connect you with the right supports to meet your goals.

  • Rebecca – Townsville & surrounds
    Rebecca – Townsville & surrounds

    Rebecca’s caring and understanding nature sets her apart whilst being focused and committed to her clients receiving one on one attention. Having lived and worked in Townsville for over 15 years Rebecca has a background in allied health, community engagement, marketing and public relations.
    Rebecca works closely with NDIS participants to assist with all parts of their NDIS plans – from understanding how your plan works, to accessing assistive technology and housing. Rebecca provides Support Coordination services to the following locations: Townsville, Ingham, Ayr, Whitsundays Region, Charters Towers & surrounds.

  • John – Disability Housing Expert
    John – Disability Housing Expert

    John is our housing expert. He is a highly regarded disability housing specialist, with decades of experience and a strong track record of success in the planning and development of accommodation facilities for people living with disability.

    Prior to joining i’ara, John was the Director of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Stakeholder and Sector Engagement at the NDIA, where his tasks include working on the design and implementation of new SDA design standards, pricing policy review, stakeholder engagement and implementation of the SDA Innovation Plan. He has held senior level roles with a Community Housing association, a large NGO in the disability sector and an international facilities management company.

    With qualifications in asset management, project management, building and construction, John is our housing superstar!

    Deciding to live in “paradise” over 20 years ago has been one of Emma’s best decisions she has made. There is a diverse group of people in the Cairns community and with years of experience in Adventure Tourism and Finance she has a great understanding of people’s needs. Emma’s invaluable life skills have enhanced her empathy and high standard of customer service.

    She is passionate about everyone living the best life they possibly can. Whatever your situation or goal she will work with you to achieve this.

    A true community leader, Josh, has dedicated the last decade to supporting individuals and families in the Cairns community.

    Josh’s passion and work focus has been in the prevention and intervention of homelessness and indigenous deaths in custody.

    He has worked as a Case Manager and a Family Support Coordinator in intensive family support, youth, and early intervention programs.

    Josh is committed to supporting his clients to achieve social justice and a sense of belonging.

    Born and raised in Cairns Laurie has a background in training and development, along with 6 years working within dept. of employment and managing a NDIS employment program across the Cairns Region. Laurie spends a lot of time engaging within community and keeping up to date with NDIS changes and updates.

    Laurie is passionate about her role and working closely with all of our participants to reach their goals and live a meaningful life. With qualifications in Business, Marketing, Human Resources and Project management, Laurie will find the best solutions to fit your needs!

  • Ally – Cairns & Surrounds
    Ally – Cairns & Surrounds

    After 22 years as a business owner/hairdresser, Ally left her career in pursuit to have a bigger impact in the Cairns community. With a Certificate III in Individual Support under her belt, Ally joined the disability sector as a Master Support Worker, providing individualised support to people with disability in Cairns.

    As a Specialist Support Coordinator, Ally has extensive experience and knowledge in support for people with disability, and works closely with her clients to provide targeted solutions.

  • Elenoa – Cairns and Surrounds
    Elenoa – Cairns and Surrounds

    A proud Queensland born Fijian, Elenoa, or El for short, has been a part of the local Cairns community for over 11 years. El joined the i’ara team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in youth and family support services. Coupling her experience as a family liaison officer with the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs, El also dons the hat of fulltime carer for her own family.

    El joined the i’ara team to be able to utilise her extensive knowledge and passion to assist more people in our Cairns community.

    Pru – Cairns & surrounds

    After 15 years living and working across Australia, Pru and her family relocated to Cairns in 2016 in search of a calmer pace – paradise was certainly found in FNQ.

    Pru has spent many years working in government, corporate and not-for-profit sectors as an investigations officer, complex case manager and Specialist Support Coordinator.

    Pru is passionate about helping NDIS Participants achieve their goals and is especially adept at working with and for Participants in engaging stakeholders in the pursuit of positive outcomes.

    Also, as a parent of a young NDIS participant, Pru brings an unique personal perspective to her role and is a champion of supporting clients on their NDIS journeys.

    After living in the Middle East, Bek returned to Cairns where she began her journey in the aged and disability sector, obtaining a Certificate III in Individual Support. Bek has been lucky enough to work with many people from many different cultures and with varying super-powers/abilities.

    Bek will always look for ways that she can enhance someone’s independence and quality of life.

    Alpha is a passionate professional with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals to reach their NDIS goals. She has extensive experience in the human services sector. Her previous work areas include working with NDIS participants, disability services and age care sector, defence veterans’ affairs, mental health and community health. Alpha believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realise their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives.

    Passionate about youth justice, Leisa has experience in navigating complex educational pathways.

    Jennah was born and raised in Townsville, and her caring and compassionate nature is fuelled by a desire to help people in her local community.

    Jennah started her career in aged care before moving into disability case management, where she found a passion for working with people who need support with mental health.

    Jennah understands the NDIS journey from both sides of the fence, as a mother of a child with disability. She understands the barriers people face and in her role as a Support Coordinator, walks alongside each client, through their NDIS journey, to achieve the best outcomes.

    Hannah, is a jack of all trades with a big heart and infectious smile. After many years in the hairdressing game, Hannah decided to follow another passion and work with people in need of care in community becoming a Healthcare Support Worker in the Hospital.

    Hannah is now a qualified Allied Health Assistant, and has spent the last few years working in Cairns Hospital Rehabilitation Unit, assisting people through their therapy journey. These skills and experience, coupled with Hannah’s big smile and uplifting attitude drives her dedication to assisting people to reach their NDIS goals.

    Nicole is passionate about building pathways to help people with disability to live a fulfilling life.

    With a background in marketing and communications consulting to NDIS providers, Nicole is highly resourceful and committed to helping people with disability to find, learn and use the best services on the market and throughout the community.

    Nicole has lived experience with supporting someone with disability. Nicole enjoys connecting with her local community and her passion and drive makes her an incredibly dedicated Support Coordinator.

    Tess is i’ara Support Coordination’s dedicated Community Engagement Officer. Tess works in community to help our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to access the NDIS or help with their current NDIS plan.

    Meet Cat, our wonderful Support Coordinator and French qualified
    Chef.

    Prior to joining our team, Cat worked as a personal career with BlueCare. Working on the ground, in homes with people with disability, has given Cat the knowledge and experience to be an attentive and very skilled Support Coordinator.

    With a focus on health and wellbeing, Cat strives to assist NDIS participants to meet their goals with a holistic approach.

    Sophie is a heart-warming caring person, who has found her passion in life by helping others.

    Sophie has obtained her certificate III in Individual Support and has many years’ experience in disability support.

    Sophie specializes in supporting children and adolescents with ASD.
